MSNBackUp's bilateral interface lets you back up your existing winks, display pics, emoticons, and backgrounds on its left side, and you can install new IM expressions to Messenger on the right.
Its middle section provides a quick view of your images in a magnifying glass. After entering your MSN e-mail address, you can select your favorite winks and such, then slide to the right to select a folder to store them in. To install images to your account, you'll first need to sign in to MSN Messenger; otherwise, an error occurs. The program doesn't include a help file, though it's reasonably simple to manage.
Its necessity isn't great, but some MSN Messenger users may take a liking to this simple freeware.

Notesbrowser attempts to pull several different organizational functions under one roof, and the end result is somewhat overwhelming. Even the publisher notes that there's 2799 learning curve involved, and you have to be prepared to spend some time with the Help file if you want to understand this program.
Notesbrowser begins on the wrong foot with a cluttered interface full of boxes, lists, and text.
Users are advised to take several minutes to simply look over the options, because tabs and subcategories are certain to appear out of the background. The program offers ways to manage downloaded music, contacts, and Web links, create simple notes, and maintain your calendar.
Notesbrowser showcases all of these at once, which can get extremely confusing.
We were turned off after several minutes of experimenting trying to add information to the contacts section.
This isn't a program you should try and pick up on your own. Spend some time with the Help file before you start playing around. Once we had some data entered, the program's individual components worked fine.
Web links launch, notes are organized, and appointments and tasks are displayed.
There are plenty of ways to customize how the program looks, so once you become familiar with how it works, you can select the view that works best for you.
Advanced users can use the free-form tool to further customize displays. The steep learning curve and cluttered interface make it hard for us to recommend this program, even with the generous 60-day trial.
